Literacy in the K-6 School Community CRN 29649 (Spring 2026)(S Pommarane) 1 Cr/Hr OnLine Taught by Sara Pommarane March 8-May 9, 2026 EDCI 5959
These modules are sponsored by the Literacy Research Center and Clinic, the UW Trustees Education Initiative, and the Wyoming Association of Elementary School Principals. We are excited to share with you practical expert advice on how to improve literacy instruction in your school and classroom.
These modules have been created specifically for Wyoming educators and are the product of conversations that UW faculty and staff had with Kenny Jones, Executive Director of the Wyoming Association of Elementary School Principals. When asked what UW could do to support the principals and teachers in the state his first answer was, “We need to know how to improve literacy instruction in the classroom.” The literacy faculty at UW began working on short, stackable modules to provide research-based literacy information and instructional practices designed to support school leaders and classroom teachers.
